Marlborough to Boyle: he has received from Boyle and Lord Sunderland the queen's approval for what he has written to Vienna and Turin on the 4,000 troops for Catalonia. Stanhope, writing from Milan, hopes that with these troops King Charles [III of Spain] will be able to act offensively. Mr. Davenant cannot accompany Prince Eugene on the Moselle. The Dukes of Burgundy and Berry have arrived at Valenciennes and are deploying their forces. Marlborough intends to assemble his at Gaerbeck, two or three leagues from [Brussels].
