Marlborough to Harley: he repeats his preference for Robinson to attend the congress in Hamburg. M. Spanheim has given him a memorial of the preliminaries his master [the king of Prussia] desires. The need to take timely measures after the defeat in Spain [Almanza]. He encloses a copy of a letter from the states general [SP 87/2/283] with their resolution on separating the troops in the queen's and their pay in Italy. He has written to the prince of Hesse, the prince of Saxe Gotha and Lieutenant General Rehbinder [commander of the Palatine troops] accordingly, and will do so to the king of Prussia. All the troops are now in motion, and he intends shortly to join the army. Dated at Brussels. ff 576, 577
