Description

Marlborough [to Harley]: he is hourly expecting to hear that the transports have sailed for Spithead. Lieutenant General Earl has written that he is leaving shortly for Portsmouth to embark with the forces. The prince of Anhalt, commanding the Prussians in Italy, writes that the French have retired behind the Mincia and Prince Eugene is crossing the Po. Dated at camp at Helchin. ff. 475, 476
