Marlborough to Harley: he hopes the Dutch will come into their third share of the compensation to King Charles of Denmark for the bishopric of Eutin. Lord Raby has left Wesel on his way to the army. When he has discovered from Geldermalsen who has joined the siege of Ostend, he will inform Harley whether any alterations must be made to the treaty with the landgrave of Hesse. He has copies of the queen's instructions to the earl of Peterborough and Sir John Leake for sending troops to Italy, and of HRH's [Prince George of Denmark's] for sending a squadron to Naples. Overkirk has begun to attack Ostend. The governor of Dendermonde has refused to surrender. Dated at camp at Rousselaer. ff. 460, 461
