Description

Marlborough to Harley: he will keep six troops of dragoons to join the infantry for the descent [on the French coast], for which he still requires the transports to come to Ostend. He has invited Lord Raby to take advantage of the court's absence from Berlin to visit the army. He hopes the Hessians are well on their way to Italy. The elector of Bavaria has reinforced Dendermonde. Marlborough has instructed Cadogan to concert with Meredyth and Farazena to strengthen the blockade. Dated at camp at Rousselaer. ff. 455, 456
