Marlborough to Harley: he doubts the Prussians are ready to send assistance to the duke of Savoy. M. Hugetan promises great things if the states [general] will concur with him. Count Lescheraines has returned from Germany and reports that Prince Louis [of Baden] is co-operative. He has sent Brigadier Cadogan to liaise with him. He encloses an extract [SP 87/2/114] of a letter from Count Noyelles on the movements of the French. He has written to Prince Louis to ask him to march towards the Saar.
