Marlborough [to Harley]: he has visited the duke regent of Württemberg at Stuttgart, where he was told that the French had disarmed the Bavarian troops. He is awaiting the result of Count Wratislav's negotiations with the elector of Bavaria. The duke of Mecklenburg may provide troops. News of a victory [Velez Malaga] in the mediterranean. He intends to join with Prince Eugene at Philippsburg and pursue the siege of Landau. He encloses a copy of an intercepted letter to the elector of Bavaria [SP 87/2/70]. Dated at camp at Eppingen. ff. 135-138
