Marlborough [to Harley]: he has over 11,000 prisoners, and has written to the states [general] to see whether he may send them by water to the Netherlands. Augsburg has surrendered. A service of thanksgiving has been held. Continuation on 18 August: he intends to march the next day; it will be difficult for the enemy to march to the Rhine without giving battle.
