Marlborough [to Harley]: he has been unable to attack Munich for want of artillery. He has begun to set fire to the countryside. He is gathering artillery at Neuburg [an der Donau] for the siege of Ingolstadt, and if this is successful he hopes to take Ulm. He expects Tallard to join the elector of Bavaria in three or four days. Dated at Friedberg. ff. 105, 106
