Marlborough [to Nottingham]: the attack on the French coast has been abandoned. The three infantry regiments for Portugal should not be moved until the archduke has arrived. The transports are taken for the month, so no money will be wasted. He repeats it would be better to send Harvey's regiment from Ireland than Lord Raby's. The garrison of this place [Huy] are prisoners of war. Dated at Val Notre Dame. ff. 59, 60
