Marlborough [to Nottingham]: he hopes the treaty with Portugal may be concluded, as affairs are not going well in Germany. He is going to the Meuse to put the army into the field, and thereafter to Bonn. He will divide his staff between the Meuse and Cologne. The French will move strong forces into Flanders once they have reinforced the elector of Bavaria. Correspondence of one Isaac Boben of London with M. Ponchartren. Dated at The Hague. ff. 37, 38
