Marlborough [to Nottingham]: he has received the ill news of [the failure of the Anglo-Dutch attack on] Cadiz and of the death of the king of Sweden. He asks that Stepney should be instructed regarding the latter. He requests Nottingham to speak to the Swedish resident in London about the forged letters. He is ready to attack the counterscarp [of Liège] Dated before Liège. PS. that the citadel has been successfully stormed ff. 29, 30
