George Stepney to Sir William Trumbull [secretary of state]: thanks for Sir William's good offices in the treasury. Speculation on the possible actions of Savoy and the empire. Visit of Lord Portland. The king will be leaving in three or four weeks for Loo, where the elector of Brandenburg, the duke of Celle and the landgrave of Hesse may accompany him. Prince Vaudemont has urged the king against further military action this year. Dated at camp at Attre. ff. 154, 155
