George Stepney to Sir William Trumbull [secretary of state]: report of peace with the Turks from Lord Lexington, who has been to Buda. Reaction of the emperor [Leopold I] to events in Savoy and Piedmont. The duke of Savoy got the allied troops out of his fortresses by pretending that he needed them to reinforce his own troops to oppose the enemy. Dated at the king's quarters at Attre, between Cambron and Ath. PS. that letters from France say that the English fleet has bombarded St Martin. ff. 152, 153
