Language: proposed adoption of Swahili as dominant language in Uganda for administrative and educational purposes; memorandum drawn up and signed by the Anglican and Roman Catholic bishops of Uganda (heads of the missionary societies) on the teaching of Swahili in elementary schools; discussion and reports by the Advisory Committee on Education in the Colonies; includes memorandum, and copies of earlier correspondence, 1925 to 1932
