Description

'Proposed Railway Extension to the Bristol City Docks (Canons Marsh). Referred to in the accompanying letter from Mr George White': plan of area between Stoke Bishop, Fishponds, Bedminster Park and Brislington, showing railways, tramways, public buildings, churches. Key to conventional signs; reference table to railways. Scale: 5 inches to 1 mile. Compass indicator. Published by John Wright & Co, Bristol. Entered at Stationers' Hall.

A note on the map refers to a letter from George White to G H Turner, General Manager, Midland Railway Company, 20 September 1892; this letter remains among the papers in RAIL 491/789.
