Ordnance Survey base map: surveyed 1868-1875; published by R H Stotherd, Director General, 1886; revised in 1904, and published by R C Hellard, Director General, 1907. Geological Survey: geologically surveyed by R G Symes and others; published by J S Flett, Director 1923. Published in colour by the Director General, Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1923. Stamped in the Ministry of Health, 22 February 1934: no communication of that date survives in HLG 52/537.
