'Rough map of Somaliland': shows rivers, mountains, roads, place names; boundary according to the Anglo-Ethiopian Treaty (the Treaty of Addis Ababa) of 28 July 1897. Scale: '1 Inch = 16 Miles nearly'. Traced from IDWO 1539. Examined by C.J.A., October 1902. Produced by the Survey of India, for Intelligence Branch, India, 1902: 'Intelligence Branch, Topo. Dy. No. 4526'; 'No. 1,954-I., 1902'. Red pencilled additions show the approximate lines of the survey between Hargeisa, Berbera and Burao by [S L] Craster, Maj RE; black pencilled additions relate to costs, gradients and Swayne's route. Originally enclosed in Sir C Hill's memorandum of 19 October 1903 about the Berbera-Harrar railway.
