'United States Northern Boundary Commission. Index Map To accompany the maps showing the territory of the United States adjacent to the Boundary Line from the North West Point of the Lake of the Woods to the Summit of the Rocky Mountains Made by authority of Act of Congress approved March 19 th 1872. Archibald Campbell Esq. Commissioner'. Shows positions of astronomical stations; mounds marking the boundary line. Three copies: (1) as printed; (2) with pencilled additions; (3) with red ink additions, apparently charting the progress of the survey from September 1872 to August 1874.
