Map of central America between the Pacific and the Atlantic in the area of Lake Nicaragua and the River San Juan: shows place names, distances, high land in relief. Reference table in English. North indicated faintly in pencil. On the same sheet is a long description of the country, beginning, 'This plan of the Lake of Nicaragua is taken from one found among the papers of the late English Colonel Hodgson.' Annotated: 'The above is a copy of the original, Cartagena of Colombia, 15 January 1784, Antonio Arevalo... From a copy lent me by Don Jose del Valle, G.A. T[hompson], Guatemala, 1st. July 1825.' Endorsed: 'Chart A, belonging to Appendix No. 35'.
