'Drawing No. 2'. 'Incident at Fauld - Staffordshire... 27 November 1944.' Map shows extent of damage caused by explosions at bomb dump to area between Hanbury, Fauld and Hare Holes Farm. Crater, plotted and measured, damaged buildings, cement works, reservoir. Extent of flooding. Site of R A F No 21 Maintenance Unit. Reference key. Reference table on map effective only for crater size (original coloured to show degree of damage to buildings). Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet. Compass indicator. Compiled by Research and Experiments Dept, Ministry of Home Security. The request for a report on the Fauld Incident, drafted by A C Crouch 4 December 1944, which specifies some of the features which were to appear on the map, and a further detailed key to damaged buildings in Section 5 of report are still in HO 186/2772
