Description

Labuan: 'Piracy. (Borneo.)' Notice of motion requesting that a royal commission be appointed to enquire into proceedings of Sir James Brooke, Governor of Labuan, and the Royal Naval operations of July 1849 against the Dyaks of Serebas and Sakarran of Borneo when over 500 men were killed. Includes heads of statement of the case of Sir James Brooke in reference to the engagement. (18 pages)
