Description

Enclosure map of Haburgh [Habrough] (parish), Lincolnshire. Map to accompany enclosure award of 2 March 1820 pursuant to Act 53 Geo III, c xviii. Map covers the whole parish / township (2320 acres) and shows the land after enclosure. Also shows drainage features, named river (with direction of flow), marsh or wetland, woods, list of pre-enclosure field acreage, post-enclosure field acreages, named footpaths or bridleways, named roads, road widths, church (with tower), Old Mill Hill, Stallingborough Kiln or Ferry House, barracks, battery, field boundary ownership, list of landowners, named enclosure allottees, hill (shaded). Antiquities shown: Scite of Cotham Abbey, Scite of Newsham Abbey [both shown by conventional earthworks]. Includes cartouche showing hyacinths and leaves. With border and compass stars. Scale: 1 inch to 8 chains. By William Harrison, 1820
