This series contains files of the Ministry of Health confidential series (otherwise in MH 79). The papers cover a wide variety of subjects relating to functions later exercised by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government and to special wartime functions. Files of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government continuing the series are also included. The papers complement (to a limited extent) papers contained in other HLG series.
Series 100,000 was the reference given by the Ministry of Health, continued by the Ministry of Local Government and Planning and subsequently the Ministry of Housing and Local Government to papers, on any subject, originally registered with security classification.
