This Commission was appointed by Royal Warrant dated 24 October 1921, under the chairmanship of Viscount Ullswater to enquire into the local government system of the Administrative County of London and surrounding districts.With the exception of certain published material, this series includes a complete set of papers circulated to the members of the Commission, submissions and evidence, and the minutes of meetings and private meetings. The report of the Commission was published in 1922 (as Cmd 1830).
