Richard Hughes, Portsmouth Dock. Receipt of copy of Mr. Dovey's letter about Bayle the smith and Whittall his partner and advising to put off their prosecution until the next assizes. He will control the payment of the Alderney Sloop on receipt of the money and three quarter's pay to the workmen of the yard. Forwards an evaluation of William Astell's plank and deal inferior to contract (not now attached). Lancaster is undocked and the Ipswich is taken into the Great Dock
