This series comprises minute books containing brief minutes of proceedings recorded by the Admiralty Registrar in ecclesiastical and maritime appeals, 1866 to 1876, in his capacity as Registrar to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (records otherwise in HCA 60) for such business.
The series also includes registers containing brief details of appeals in Admiralty causes and their outcome following the creation of the Probate, Divorce and Admiralty Division of the High Court, and the assumption of Admiralty appellate jurisdiction by the Court of Appeal. 1875 to 1948.
