High Court of Appeals for Prizes: Miscellanea

This series consists of miscellaneous papers of the High Court of Appeals for Prizes, comprising several discrete blocks of records as well as a few stray individual records.

The records include files of drafts, covering 1690 to 1786 with large gaps; and minutes or drafts of Acts, covering 1772 to 1828. Various account books of fees charged by the Court cover the years 1689 to 1830. Other documents in the series are bills of costs, a list of appeals book, original commissions of 1690 to 1715, and a list of causes heard book.

The stray documents are a bundle of drafts of 1737 to 1833 relating to the High Court of Delegates; and an account book of fees (or bill book) of 1840-1845 belonging to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
