These files deal with different aspects of finance within the Ministry of Technology, the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Trade. They cover many different aspects of finance, particularly departmental expenditure, assistance to industry (primarily the shipbuilding and aircraft industries), regional development and briefings for appearances before the Public Accounts Committee. Some files contain papers re-registered from the PTC series, which was used by the Finance and Economic Appraisal Division's predecessor, the Finance and Accounts Division. Other files contain papers from the NC series, which was used by FEA branch 7.
