This series relates to sponsorship of the electronics industry. It contains registered files generated by successive divisions of the Ministry of Technology and the Department of Trade and Industry responsible for the electronics industry and (from 1969) the computer industry.
Subjects covered include the implications for the industry of entry into the European Economic Community. There is also correspondence with the Electronics Components Board Liaison Committee and the Policy Co-ordinating Committee for Electronics and the papers of the Joint Electronic Engineering Association and the Department of Industry Working Group on computer aided design and manufacture in the electronic goods industry.
