This series contain a series of published papers, known as 'Notes' which were circulated internally to Nature Conservancy Staff and interested external bodies. Their purpose was to disseminate the wealth of knowledge and experience developed by Nature Conservancy field staff.
Contributions to the 'Notes' were made by wardens, scientific staff, and in some cases from organisations from outside the Nature Conservancy Council. The 'Notes' covered a wide range of scientific based studies, which were collated, edited and then circulated by the Chief Scientist's team, later the Chief Scientist's Directorate.
