Description

It consists of rules and amendments to rules of selected Societies certified under the Loan Societies Act 1840 and removed from the register between 1913 and 1940. The years covered are before 1876, 1885, 1895, 1905, 1914, 1928 and 1939.

The files are arranged in chronological order by each set of dates of removal from the register: firstly between 1 January 1913 and 31st December 1939, secondly between 1 January 1940 and 31st December 1949, and lastly after 1950. Within each set, the list is arranged in alphabetical order of loan society name.
