- The files of all societies situated in the twenty-three (alphabetically arranged) counties, Bedfordshire to Middlesex, inclusive, have been preserved; but for the remaining twenty-four counties (Norfolk to Yorkshire and Welsh counties) only the files of societies certified before 2 November 1874, or incorporated after that date but before 1876, or incorporated during the years 1885, 1895 and 1905, have been selected for preservation.
