Description

This series consists of index cards prepared in the three Foreign Office sub-registries to provide means of reference to the general correspondence of the Foreign Office.

The cards in this series provided the index to general correspondence of most Foreign Office departments in the system in force between 1 January 1906 and 20 November 1920 for registering papers passing through the office.
