This series contains general correspondence of the British consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Mostly files relating to estate questions. Includes one file relating to the British Galapagos Expedition, 1938 to 1939.

Separated material

The Consulate destroyed most of their archives for the following years for reasons indicated:- 1907 to 1928 - in 1937, due to depredations of mice and polilla. 1933 to 1941 - not considered worthy of preservation.
