Folios 152-153. Bishop of London from Fulham to ----- It was designed from the beginning, tha the Bishop of Llandaff should hold the Deanery and Canonry of Hereford by commemdam perpetual, and also the Prebend of Canterbury; and I suppose it is agreed between the Duke of Newcastle and him that the living also shall be held in perpetuity. But I have heard nothing of an attempt to hold the Deanery of St. Burien's for a year, but on the contrary have taken it for granted all along but the Bishop of Salisbury and obtained it for Dr. Sykes as soon as it should become vacant by the Bishop's consecration. This is all I know of it. The Bishop of Lincoln's letter is all mystery to me who know nothing of the Attorney General's opinion, much less, how the mistake happended about the conveyance of the letter. I did not know till today, that his Grace had a lodging at Kensington.
