Folios 120-121. Cracherode to Delafaye. The act relating to Foreign Ministers extends no further than to protect the persons and goods of such ministers and their servants against the ordinary process of law, and does at all reach the case of Signor Gastaldi, who was only insulted in his lodgings by scurrilous language and saucy behaviour, for which, if Frudin should be indicted, the fine, in all probability, will be but small, and therefore I should think the most honourable way of ending the matter for Signor Gastaldi will be to accept the fellow's submission and to forgive him.
