Folios 53-54. Note from Newcastle to the King. I have the honour to send your Majesty a draft to Lord Harrington and Mr. Poyntz and another to Mr. Keen. Upon enquiry I fiind the ambassadors have not one messenger with them at present, so if your Majesty pleases one may go this nigh and carry them a copy of Colnonel Las cell's instructions, that they may know how to correspond with him. Those instructions I humbly presume your Majesty will think not proper to send by the post. I have presumed to add a word or two both to the ambassadors and Mr. Keen upon Patino's discourse with Mr. Keen for your Majesty's approbation. The King's answer appended: I have nothing to object about the sending of this dispatch by a messenger.
