Folios 133-136. South Sea Company from South Sea House to Newcastle. On 2 March, 1727 a great part of the effects of the Spanish ship Santa Reta was seized by Charles Dunbar, Surveyor General of the Customs in Antigua. This seizure occasioned an immediate reprisalia of a great value in effects belonging to the Assiento in several of the Spanish Windward ports. They are persuaded that a speedy and full restitution to the Spaniards interested in the said ship will greatly contribute to the restitution of the Company's effects and as they are informed that H.M.S. Greyhound is to be shortly dispatched to the West Indies with orders for restitution of effects and is to touch at Antigua, they pray that orders may be given for such restitution to be made accordingly. Case of the Santa Reta annexed.
