Name of criminal: Langley, Nathaniel and Hall, William Crime: Murder of Daniel Palmer on 29 Jan. 1721, at Woodbury, co. Devon. Sentence: Death Where tried or confined: Exeter Condition of pardon: None Remarks: The judge is extremely doubtful, not withstanding the evidence given against the prisoners whether they may not both be entirely innocent of the crime.
