Folios 59-60. Information of Edward Lloyd of Wexford, Ireland, owner of the ship Edward of Wexford now in Dover harbour and bound for Rotterdam. In March last he was at Waterford in Ireland and there saw Captain Doyle of Ross, commander of a small brigadine and who pretended to be fitting out for a voyage to Newfoundland and shipped over forty passengers. In May last he was in Havre and there saw Captain Doyle with his ship and was told that the passengers had against their consent been taken to Havre and sold to the officers of Irish regiments in France.
