Folios 57-58. George Harries, General Supervisor of Excise, from Aberdeen to Commissioners of Excise. Gives an account of a search for smuggled goods in Aberdeen and Footdee and an unsuccessful attempt to make seizures in Torrie in which a number of his men and soldiers were injured by the mob.
