Folios 55-56. ----- from Whitehall to Sir John Eyles. Stating in reply to the memorial representing the many grievances that the South Sea Company suffers from the behaviour of the Spaniards in the West Indies, that no care has been wanting to procure justice to be done upon the Company's demands; that there is reason to hope the measures taken will soon have the desired effect, and in order that the Company may obtain full satisfaction,a particular account is desired of all their effects, which, by the treaty of 1721 ought to have been long since restored and are yet detained.
