This series contains general correspondence from the British consulate in Belgian Congo (formerly Congo Free State). Includes correspondence of HM Consul for the Congo Free State at Old Calabar, 1889 to 1890; the vice-consulates at Boma, 1893 to 1894 and 1906, and Matadi and St Paul de Loanda, 1899; files on the Protestant Council of Congo, 1938; and papers relating to Sir Roger Casement's investigation of atrocities in the Congo, 1902 to 1903.
