Folio 89: Swann to [Williamson]. Explains his postal expenses which Morrice had queried. King of Poland resolved to keep his crown. It is thought that France will not move merely 'in revenge' of Swedes, thereby keeping them from receiving any money from Spain which Castel Rodrigo [governor of Spanish Netherlands] is averse to giving in peace time. Elector of Brandenburg has gone to Prussia to keep an eye on developments in Poland, he may be involved in war without gain. [Christoph] Brandt [Brandenburg envoy extraordinary] to stay in England three months longer [to mediate between England and Holland]; an envoy from England expected in Berlin.
