Folio 83: Swann to Williamson. Had audience of [grand-] duke [Ferdinand II] of Tuscany, on grand tour through Germany; he highly commended King for concluding late 'alliance' with Holland [treaty of Breda, July 21/31, 1667] and had no doubt 'but it would quickly bringe the French k. to reasonable terms'. Thanks him for kindness shown to his wife.
