Folio 76: Swann to [Williamson]. One Garmers, a senator and kinsman of [Vincent] 'our Garms' has been turned out of senate; both Garmers are noted for their anti-English attitude; attempt by city to ingratiate themselves with King of Denmark has failed: [Vincent] Garmers and two 'lords' of city who were recently deputed to wait upon [Danish] royal family at Glückstadt with 'nobel presents', but both [acceptance of] presents and audience were refused them, King [Frederick III] bears 'hattrid' to 'Garms in particular'. Had visit from bishop of Osnabrück who assured him that most princes of empire would 'stycke close to the house of Austria'. Jollyvet transferred to Whitehall.
