Folio 72: Swann to [Williamson]. In reply to a query by Williamson, supplies particulars of succession in earldom of Oldenburg which, he says, by death of old count, falls into two parts: that of Oldenburg proper, going to King of Denmark, and that of Delmenhorst,going to duke of Holstein; his son, count Anthony, on whom he had, during his lifetime, settled a handsome estate, is made 'statthoulder' in both [parts] during his life and has received subjects' oaths; fears the breeding of horses for which the earldom was famed will, now that country is divided, be discontinued. Dispatches.
