Description

Folio 67: vom Campe and Eckhoff to [? Arlington]. Cornelius Verdunck who, coming from Canary islands to Dover, was arrested at Wolliz [? Woolwich] under suspicion of being a Dutch captain, but released on caution that if he could obtain attestation from them of his Hamburg citizenship he would be set entirely free; confirm that he is a native of Hamburg and merchant and has been trafficking several times to and from Canary islands; plead for his complete release.
