Folio 58: Jollyvet to Williamson. Swann gone to Stade to meet Wrangel. Deputies of Bremen have returned from Stade, well pleased with results of their negotiations with Wrangel who lately visited count of Oldenbourg, in state. Letters from Vienna speak of strange moves by Turks who, notwithstanding their friendship with Emperor, are gathering forces throughout Hungary; they have begun to re-fortify Little Comorn, abandoned by imperial forces; courier [from Vienna] on his way to governor of Ofen to ask for reason; a number of Hussars, now in prison, to be executed [at Ofen] in presence of Turks for having assaulted and robbed merchants coming from Raabsmark; Emperor intends to clear frontier of villains to ensure safety of border traffic. Elector of Mayence has been some weeks at Erfurt to inspect finishing of fortification of Petersberg.
